BidVantage CEO Named Chairman of Board

BidVantage Inc. in Camarillo, which operates an electronics marketplace for buyers and sellers, has appointed Sheldon Malchicoff as chairman of its board of directors.

Malchicoff, 48, also serves as president and chief executive of BidVantage, a business-to-business electronics marketplace.

A Westlake Village resident, Malchicoff founded Data Exchange Corp. as a computer hardware services company with 30 employees. Data Exchange now has about 400 employees and provides specialty high-tech services to the computer, medical and telecommunications industries.

Malchicoff holds a bachelor of science degree in electronic engineering from Cal State Northridge.

BidVantage customers include original equipment manufacturers, third-party maintenance organizations and value-added resellers.
