Crime prevention in this city is undergoing a technological overhaul.

In the next three months, the Police Department will change its radio system and computer-aided dispatch system and buy new software and hardware for crime analysis. The changes will bring the department up to par with others in the county.

Part of the changes stem from a 10-year countywide radio system upgrade and the recent approval for a $65,000 technology grant for the department.
