In an effort to broaden interest in the proposed Vietnam War memorial statue, Little Saigon Radio is sponsoring an essay contest with cash prizes. Radio station President Ninh Quang Vu said the station “would like to mobilize the spirit of all Westminster residents” toward finding a location for the memorial.
Essays are limited to 1,800 words and are due June 19. They should address the question “Why should a memorial be built in memory of the American and Republic of Vietnam soldiers who fought for freedom in the Vietnam War?”
