Ex-Youth Football Treasurer Arrested
A former treasurer of the Road Runner youth football league was arrested on suspicion of forgery and burglary in the embezzlement of more than $8,700 in cash and forged checks from the league.
Lisa Brockett, 31, of Camarillo, was arrested Monday after a nearly two-month investigation by the Sheriff’s Department, authorities said.
Brockett, who was also the director of the Pacific Youth League’s football cheer conference, served as treasurer from 1998 until last March.
She was booked at the county jail Monday and later released, officials said. Jail officials didn’t know if she posted bail or was released on her own recognizance.
