High Demand Causes Ceryx to Expand Facilities

Share

Ceryx Inc. in Santa Paula, which makes diesel emission control systems, has expanded its facilities for research and development, manufacturing and administration.

Dorriah L. Page, Ceryx’s president and chief executive, said the expansion was done to exploit the market demand for products similar to Ceryx’s flagship product, the QuadCAT catalytic converter.

“There is a strong demand for diesel emission control devices, particularly those having the capability to significantly reduce multiple diesel pollutants, and currently we’re the only company whose products specifically address the reduction of four primary sources of pollution,” Page said.

Ceryx’s newly leased site increases its overall space by approximately 6,000 square feet, or 59%. The company has also hired 25 new employees since March, many of whom will help develop and test the company’s patented products.

Company officials said manufacturing will stay in Santa Paula for the foreseeable future. The new facilities are being remodeled and retooled to start making QuadCATs in this year’s fourth quarter.
