DIVINE PRAYER: A Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Holy Spirit Retreat Center, 4316 Lanai Road, Encino. Lectio divina, or divine reading, is an ancient method of developing a friendship with Christ by using scripture texts as topics of conversation. SHABBAT WITH TOTS: Rabbi James Lee Kaufman will present a Tot Shabbat family worship service featuring stories and songs especially for their appeal to toddlers and preschoolers from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. Friday at Temple Beth Hillel’s main sanctuary, 12326 Riverside Drive, Valley Village.
