DotTV Names Finance Vice President

* DotTV, a Pasadena-based, Idealab-backed company that is offering Internet names ending in “.tv” as an alternative to “.com,” has appointed William Russell as vice president of finance. He most recently was chief financial officer of Worldwide Sports & Entertainment.

* B3 Corp., Warner Music Group’s e-commerce platform provider unit, has named David Melnick to a newly created position of vice president, chief technologist. Melnick had been a member of Deloitte & Touche’s e-commerce practice.

* Los Angeles telecommunications firm CreSenda Wireless has named Jane Wike as its chief financial officer. Before joining CreSenda, Wike was vice president of finance and administration at Arroyo Optics, a developer of “all-optical” solutions.

* Mariel Albrecht has been promoted to senior vice president and treasurer of Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. She will be responsible for the company’s corporate finance, treasury and cash management activities, as well as raising capital for franchisees.

* Petsmart.com, the Pasadena-based online pet supply retailer, has named Jeryl Bowers as general counsel. He comes from the law firm Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles, where he specialized in private equity finance, venture capital finance and Internet law.

* La Canada-based retailer Sport Chalet Inc. has promoted Howard Kaminsky to executive vice president, finance, and Jeff Lichtenstein to vice president, loss prevention/risk management.
