* Los Angeles-based K2 Inc., a maker of snowboards and other recreational products, along with industrial products such as fiberglass light poles, agreed to sell its Simplex building products division to Ludlow Building Products Inc. for $27.5 million in cash. K2, which had first-quarter sales of $181.8 million, fell 6 cents to close at $8.25 on the NYSE.

* San Diego-based WD-40 shares fell $1.38, or 6.5%, to close at $19.69 on Nasdaq, a day after the company said it expects fiscal-year profit and sales to miss targets because of stagnant demand for its lubricant in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia. WD-40 already dominates those markets and sales have little room to grow.
