Bollini, U.S. Retain Lead at Izzo Cup

Nico Bollini of Yorba Linda helped a team of United States junior golfers take another step toward the Izzo Cup championship in Stockholm, Sweden.

Bollini and partner Jason Hartwick defeated Anders Bogeberg and Eirik Tage Johansen of the Scandinavia team, 3 and 2. Angela Rho of Fullerton and her partner, Catherine Cartwright, lost to Scandinavia’s Johanna and Sofie Andersson, 1-up.

The three-day match-play competition, which concludes today, features two teams of 16 junior golfers, one from the U.S. and the other from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The U.S. team leads, 16- 1/2-11 1/2.
