* Celluloid--The Santa Barbara International Film Festival, led by artistic director Renee Missel, will begin tonight with free festivities along a portion of State Street, which will be closed to traffic from 4 to 7 p.m. The 15th annual event, showcasing independent American and international films, will host screenings and related activities at venues around Santa Barbara through March 12. This year’s honorees are Anthony Hopkins (Modern Master Award), Richard Pryor (Lifetime Achievement Award), Whoopi Goldberg (Ruby Award), plus a tribute to director-producer Ivan Reitman. There will also be seminars and workshops. Individual tickets for special events can be purchased through the Arlington Ticket Agency, 963-4408. * Song craftsman--Guy Clark, a pillar of the Texas singer-songwriter tradition, will perform Friday at 8 p.m. at the Lobero Theatre, 33 E. Canon Perdido St., Santa Barbara. Also performing is special guest Katy Moffat. Advance, $28.50; at the door, $32.50. 963-0761.

* Dolls--The Santa Barbara Doll Club Show & Sale will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Earl Warren Showgrounds. * Jazz--Tenor saxophonist Pete Christlieb will join UC Santa Barbara’s University Jazz Ensemble on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the campus’ Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall. The program will include Bob Brookmeyer’s “Willow Weep for Me,” Jim McNeely’s tribute to drumming great Mel Lewis, Dan Gailey’s blues shuffle, “The Cheese That Time Forgot” and more. $10 general; $7 students. 893-7001.

* World music--UC Santa Barbara’s Multicultural Center theater will host a performance by Los Angeles-based Huayucaltia on Saturday at 8 p.m. The ensemble blends Andean, Afro-American, jazz, classical and other genres. $12 general; $6 students. 893-3535.
