Pregnancy Report

Re “U.S. Pregnancy Rate at 20-Year Low, Report Says,” Feb. 12.

Apparently education and access to help in making choices has been bearing fruit, because pregnancy rates have dropped. In fact, teenage pregnancy rates fell 15% between 1991 and 1996. Thank you for sharing the report from the National Center for Health Statistics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Let’s work even harder to make sure facilities that educate and explain the choices open to all women of childbearing age remain readily available.
