Autologic Information International in Thousand Oaks announced that as part of its ongoing cost-cutting initiatives, it has terminated all sales and engineering activities on its LUX Laser Cinema Recorder.

This move eliminates annual operating expenses of approximately $400,000, company officials said.

The cinema recorder has been used in the production of several major motion pictures over the last three years. However, equipment sales of the product have not reached forecast or business plan expectations.
