STM’s Latest 4th Quarter Figures Are in the Black

STM Wireless Inc., an Irvine provider of communications products, earned $30,000 for the fourth quarter, compared with a net loss of $9.8 million, or $1.39 a share, for the same period a year ago. Revenue declined 43% to $6.6 million. The operations of SkyOnline Inc., a unit in which STM once held a majority stake, were included in STM’s results for 1998 and through June 15, 1999. For the year, STM posted a loss of $8.3 million, or $1.18 a share, most of which was incurred in the first quarter. In the previous year, the company lost $9.4 million, or $1.36 a share. Revenue fell to $22.2 million from $42 million.
