Nike Inc. said its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 17%, led by sales gains in the U.S. and Asia. Net income rose to $145.3 million, or 52 cents a share, from $124.2 million, or 44 cents, a year ago. The results beat Wall Street estimates. Sales fell less than 1% to $2.16 billion from $2.18 billion. In after-hours trading, shares rose $1.88 to $35.75; earlier they rose 56 cents to close at $33.88 on the NYSE.
