Three O.C. Youths Are Spotlight Finalists

Three young performers from Orange County are among 12 finalists in the annual Spotlight Award competition sponsored by the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles.

The local finalists include ballet dancer Jamie Brianne Dee, 17, a senior at Foothill High School; cellist Paul Wiancko, 16, a junior at San Clemente High School, and baritone Alex Torrico, 17, a junior from Edison High School. They will compete for $12,000 and $5,000 scholarships April 17 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.
