Diedrich Coffee OKs Expansion Into Nevada

Diedrich Coffee Inc. said Monday it plans to expand into Nevada. The Irvine company signed an agreement with M&P; Coffee Ltd. to develop 17 coffeehouses and an undetermined number of kiosks and carts in Nevada. M&P; Coffee currently has an agreement with Diedrich to open 50 coffeehouses in Southern California, Diedrich said.
The coffee retailer said it plans to add 1,200 to 1,500 coffeehouses nationwide over the next five to seven years. It has signed eight agreements, providing for development of about a third of these units.
