Excite@Home Taking Show on the Road

Excite@Home today joins the mobile Internet frenzy by launching a special Web portal tailored to the needs of wireless phone users. The new Internet site, https://mobile.excite.com, allows users to select personalized information (stocks, news, location-based information, e-mail) for retrieval from a Web-enabled mobile phone. The service, which is similar to those offered by rivals Yahoo and MSN Mobile, is free and includes a planner, phone book and other features. Users must have a digital mobile phone with Web software and browsing service from a carrier. Excite@Home’s mobile service is also available to users of the Palm VII device.
