Packard Joins Miller Law Firm in Newport

* Michael E. Packard has joined the Miller Law Firmin Newport Beach as chief operating officer. He was formerly president and chief executive of Chaney, Brooks & Co., a real estate management organization in Hawaii.

* Adolf Schoepe, founder of Fluidmaster Inc. in San Juan Capistrano, has been named chairman of the board. Succeeding him as president is Robert AndersonSchoepe, who had been executive vice president. In addition, Robert Connell, former vice president of sales and marketing, assumes the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Gary Harris, previously national sales manager, is now vice president of sales and marketing, and Doyle Zuck moves from field sales manager to national sales manager.

* Stephen Lane has joined Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Irvine office as vice president. He formerly worked at Jones Lang La-Salle at Newport Gateway and PM Realty Group, handling the Irvine Co.’s Newport Center properties.

* Dan Moczarny has been appointed director of product marketing for Viking Components Inc. in Rancho Santa Margarita. He previously held several marketing positions with Silicon Systems, a subsidiary of Texas Instruments, and was North American marketing manager and principal engineer with Mitsubishi.

* Jeffery J. Dickerson has been named senior director of construction for Opus West Corp.’s office in Irvine. He had been director of construction for four years. Jefferson E. Hill Jr. was appointed senior director of real estate development. He had been director. Before joining Opus, Hill was vice president and senior broker with PM Realty Group. Also, Tim Strader was named director of real estate development. Before joining the company, Strader was vice president with Heitman Properties Ltd.

* Michael Kendall has been appointed vice president for the Western division of Koll Development Co. in Newport Beach. He joined Koll in 1998 as development manager for the Colorado region and was named development manager for the Orange County division in 1999.

* Dan Pitts has been named director of merchandising operations for BDS Marketing in Irvine. He joined the company from PIA Merchandising Co., where he was service center director.

* Paul D. Myer has been appointed vice president of sales for GoShip.com in Laguna Niguel. Prior to joining the company, Myer held several executive and senior-level management positions at NEC Technologies, including director of sales for the West region, director of channel marketing for the display division, and national sales manager for the imaging division. He also held several sales positions with Compaq Computer Corp.

* David L. Copp has been appointed regional vice president of Eldorado Bank’s equipment leasing program. He will be based in the Tustin office. Copp was formerly vice president and marketing director for Pacific Century Leasing Inc.

* Lisa Sussman has been named vice president of sales for the Los Angeles and Orange County markets for Nextlink Communications Inc. She was formerly AT&T;’s director of sales in Southern California.

* Philip A. Pageau is the new chief financial officer at DisplayWorks in Irvine. He joined the company last year after serving as a financial consultant and interim chief financial officer for several companies. Pageau has also been chief financial officer for Daniels Packaging in Asheville, N.C., CPS Corp. in Franklin, Tenn., and Richmond Technology Inc. in Palm Springs.
