Semtech Opens Design Center in Southwest

Semtech Corp. in Newbury Park has opened a design center in Austin, Texas, to be closer to its customers in the Southwest.

This is the fourth design center for the semiconductor company. Semtech hopes to have the Texas center fully staffed by the end of the year.

“The Southwestern United States is an area rich in engineering activity,” said Dave Anderson, director of integrated circuit design and development. “The new design center will provide us access to talented engineers who have the experience to help” the company, he said.

With the opening of this facility, Semtech will be seeking to hire several engineers and designers.
