Report Details Quick Attack at Columbine
At least six students were cut down in the first minutes of last year’s shooting massacre at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo., contrary to allegations in lawsuits that police could have done more to prevent some of the deaths, a published report said. The Denver Rocky Mountain News said that within 30 minutes of the first shot in the April 20, 1999, attack, 12 students and a teacher lay dead or dying and 23 others were wounded. A report on the shooting that left 15 dead, including the two heavily armed teenage gunmen, is scheduled to be released Monday.
