STM Wireless Inc.

The Irvine provider of communications products said net income for the first quarter totaled $2.5 million, or 33 cents a share, which included a $3.2-million operating expenses credit related to recovering an outstanding debt. The company lost $8.5 million, or $1.20 a share, in the 1999 first quarter. Revenue increased 23% to $3.8 million.
