New Admission Fees at Kennedy Space Center

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Visitors to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex now must pay to see the formerly free Rocket Garden (containing rockets used by NASA over four decades) and a full-size replica of a space shuttle orbiter.

Under the center’s new price structure, adults pay $24 and children ages 3 to 11 pay $15 for entry to the complex. Previously, adults paid $14 to $26, depending on which attractions they visited. A bus tour and IMAX films are now part of the single all-inclusive price, which must also be paid to view the Rocket Garden and orbiter replica.

The extra money will help finance a $120-million, five-year expansion of the complex into a full-day attraction, officials said. More than 2.8 million people visited the complex last year.
