GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS

* Metson Marine Inc. of Ventura won an $8.9-million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in West Bethesda, Md., for research and development.

* Parker Hannifin Corp., Newbury Park, won a $142,781 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for pipe, tubing, hose and fittings.
