Time for Actor to Shed Small Condo
Actor Vince Vaughn, who co-stars with Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming thriller “The Cell,” has put his one-bedroom condo in Hancock Park on the market at just under $100,000.
Vaughn, 30, has owned the 728-square-foot unit since 1989, about a year after he came to Hollywood from Chicago, where he was raised. About a year ago he bought a four-bedroom, Spanish-style home with a guest house and a pool in the Hollywood Hills.
Vaughn, who also co-stars with Ed Harris and Julia Ormond in the upcoming movie “The Prime Gig,” played Norman Bates in Gus Van Sant’s remake of “Psycho” (1998), and he portrayed a photographer alongside Jeff Goldblum and Julianne Moore in Steven Spielberg’s “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997).
His breakthrough role was in the cult hit “Swingers” (1996), co-starring Jon Favreau, who wrote the script based on his experiences with Vaughn prowling L.A.’s night life. Vaughn and Favreau have other projects in development including the independent comedy “Made,” which will mark rock star Sean “Puffy” Combs’ film-acting debut.
Vaughn’s condo is in a four-story, 50-unit building built in 1972.

Seaman Jacobs, a veteran comedy writer for Bob Hope as well as such late stars as George Burns and Lucille Ball, has sold his Beverly Hills home of almost 40 years for just under $1 million.
Jacobs was a writer for numerous Bob Hope specials, most recently in 1992. He also wrote for a number of TV series, including “Maude” in the ‘70s and “My Favorite Martian” in the ‘60s.
Built for Jacobs in 1961, the three-bedroom, 2,800-square-foot house has a pool and city views.
Jacobs and his wife, Vicki, bought a condo in Century City.

New York-based attorney Aaron Richard Golub, whose novel “The Big Cut” was published in April (St. Martin’s Press, $24.95), has leased a three-bedroom Spanish-style home in Santa Monica for $3,500 a month.
Golub, 57, has represented such high-profile clients as Donald Trump, Christie Brinkley and director Ken Russell.
“The Big Cut,” which Golub started writing during his marriage to actress Marisa Berenson in the early ‘80s, is a suspense thriller about a slick trial lawyer named Johnny Ocean who takes on a high-stakes estate battle.
Golub is looking to buy a house in Beverly Hills, where he plans to spend more time.
He owns a five-story townhouse in New York’s Upper East Side, where he maintains his law offices.
