“I had a 1978 Guigal Co^te-Ro^tie ‘La Landonne.’ We shared it with great friends over a memorable dinner. Not only is that the best vintage, but La Landonne is also the top of the top. This was the first of [Guigal’s] wines called La Landonne, so we tried the first vintage. . . . It was just as young as when it was first bottled. It was a gorgeous, full-bodied example of this wine.”
