Other economic data to be released this week:
* A report from the Commerce Department coming Wednesday will show that sales of new single-family homes in April probably fell 2.7% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 940,000 in April as mortgage rates moved higher, analysts said.
* Another Commerce Department report, this one on Thursday, is likely to show that construction spending probably was unchanged in April after advancing 1.4% during March.
