Century High School students recently outpledged other high schools in a city-sponsored event and will host local radio station KBUE “Que Buena” on its campus Friday to celebrate. A core group of about 25 students, motivated by their Mexican-American studies and environmental studies teachers, collected 1,700 signatures for the Used Motor Oil Recycling Program. Local politicians have been invited to the two-hour, after-school party from 3 to 5 p.m. Sizzler will be providing food.
