TV Still Undecided About USC-UCLA

It’s still undecided whether Saturday’s USC-UCLA game at the Rose Bowl will be televised, and the kickoff time also remains undetermined.
Those decisions will be made today.
The possibilities: A local telecast on Channel 7 at 12:30 p.m.; a local telecast on Fox Sports Net 2 at 3:30 p.m.; or no live television and a 12:30 kickoff.
ABC decided over the weekend to show Oregon-Oregon State at 12:30 p.m. to most of the western part of the country. On Monday, Fox Sports Net chose Washington-Washington State as its 3:30 p.m. Pacific 10 Conference game of the week.
That left USC-UCLA out of the picture, and school and conference officials began scrambling for a solution.
The Bay Area had a similar situation with Saturday’s Stanford-California game, but it was decided Monday that it will be shown by the ABC affiliate in San Francisco.
The problem with Channel 7 picking up USC-UCLA is that Oregon-Oregon State, which will determine the Pac-10’s Rose Bowl representative, would be preempted here.
