WESTMINSTER
A farewell reception will be held Thursday for Westminster School District Board President Nancy Blumenthal, who did not seek reelection. The reception will be part of the board’s regular meeting.
Applications are also being taken for an appointed seat to the school district’s five-member governing board, which oversees the hiring of new superintendents, district expenditures and other administrative issues.
The term runs from December 2000 to November 2002. Candidates must be registered voters and live within the school district boundaries. Applications are due Nov. 21.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the district office, 14121 Cedarwood Ave.
