AML Communications Gains New Customer for Amplifiers

AML Communications Inc. in Camarillo said it has received a $2-million purchase order for multi-carrier amplifiers from an original-equipment manufacturer in the wireless communications industry.

The prototypes are scheduled for delivery beginning in the first half of next year, with production deliveries scheduled for the second half of the year. The contract calls for delivery of 100- and 400-watt multi-carrier amplifiers needed to support future wireless Internet-access applications.

“We are pleased to bring on board another new customer and to continue to build our backlog and product base,” said Kirk A. Waldron, president and chief executive. “This order represents a reentry for AML into the high-powered multi-carrier amplifier market.”
