* Barneys New York Inc., a luxury retailer that emerged from bankruptcy protection in 1999, said its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 53% to $3.28 million, or 24 cents a share, as sales rose 9% to $110.2 million. Sales at stores open at least a year jumped 12%, with strong growth at its full-price and outlet stores.
