Sanwa Names New Head of Commercial Banking Unit

* William “Randy” Strickley has been named senior vice president and head of Sanwa Bank’s Los Angeles Commercial Banking Center. Strickley, a former Bank of America executive, most recently was vice president of finance for Internet Ventures Inc.

* Sidney Clifton has been promoted to vice president in charge of television for Film Roman Inc., the developer of “The Simpsons” and other TV and cable programming. Most recently Film Roman’s director of television development, she will oversee all TV projects as well as acquisition of literary projects for live-action and animated production.

* Erika Grenadier has joined Fireworks Television as manager, development. She comes from Columbia Tri-Star Television Distribution.

* Janine Bushman has joined Santa Monica-based Xdrive, a provider of stored information, as chief financial officer. She’s a former CFO at HomePage.com.

* Los Angeles-based Imperial Bank has made three appointments in its legal department. Philip Ellis Jr. and Robert Frederisy have both been named senior vice president and senior counsel. Charles Meyer has been named vice president/associate counsel.

* Ross Levinsohn has been named senior vice president for News Digital Media, the U.S. digital division of News Corp. He is a former executive at AltaVista Network.
