Mazda President Talks on Economy, Prospects

Mark Fields, president of Mazda Motor Corp., will discuss the status of Japan’s economic recovery and the prospects for an expanded partnership between Mazda and Ford Motor Co. in a speech Thursday in downtown Los Angeles. The remarks by Fields, who holds a Harvard MBA and is one of the youngest individuals to head a Japanese corporation, comes at time when Mazda reports revenue for this year as $20 billion, the fourth-highest figure since 1985.
