From Times Wire Reports

Two senior provincial officials accused of corruption have been stripped of their seats in China’s national legislature, the latest sign of an expanding struggle against rampant official graft. The People’s Congress of Hebei province decided Sunday to strip Cong Fukui and Zhang Erchen of membership in the National People’s Congress, state-run media said. The reports accused Cong of taking a large amount in bribes and Zhang of unspecified economic crimes. The reports did not mention whether they would be tried.
