Whitewater
Re “Media Abused Their Power on the Whitewater Probe,” Commentary, Sept. 26: Robert Scheer erroneously states that the closing of the case by the independent counsel “should be taken by any reasonable person to fully exonerate the Clintons.” Many guilty people are not prosecuted because the prosecutor cannot produce witnesses who are willing to testify. The prosecutor’s decision to not prosecute does not exonerate the accused nor does it mean the accused did not commit the crime.
