Patti Jerome, 75, character actress in such films as “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and such television shows as “Rosie: The Rosemary Clooney Story.” Jerome, a New York native, began her career as a singer working with her sister, Joanie. Switching to acting, she portrayed the madam in the 1975 film “Rancho Deluxe,” Saralinda Shears in the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper” in 1978, Mrs. Madeline Kendall in 1980’s “Alligator” and a matron in the 1981 film “Buddy, Buddy.” Jerome found more work on television, appearing in segments of the early 1970s series “The Bob Newhart Show” and “The Streets of San Francisco” and a variety of television specials and television movies. On Sept. 24 in Los Angeles.
