*** Keb’ Mo’, “The Door,” Okeh. This L.A. musician’s urban folk-blues stew remains disarmingly soothing, from the muted heartache of “Mommy Can I Come Home” to the playfully romantic “Gimme What You Got.” His smoky, Redding-esque vocals and the band’s grit-free backing make the travails outlined in his lyrics easier to endure--less a soul-wrenching than a life-affirming spin on his roots in the blues. He’ll be at the House of Blues Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
