Nomadix Gets Patent on Web Access System

Nomadix in Westlake Village has been awarded a patent for its broadband Internet plug-and-play functionality, which enables access to Internet services from any computer.

Company officials said the patent, for the product “Nomadic translator or router,” covers all methods that enable a computer or Internet device to obtain access to any network.

The plug-and-play technology currently is implemented in Nomadix’s Universal Subscriber Gateway product, which is installed in apartments, airports, hotels, universities and other broadband access points worldwide.
