* Altamira Group, Burbank, announced two senior management appointments.

Charles Mauzy has been promoted to chief executive. Mauzy had been executive vice president of business development. Bob Goldstein has been promoted from vice president of business development to president of the company. Goldstein will lead efforts to build key development partnerships within the digital imaging industry. Goldstein replaces Martin S. Silverman, who has left to pursue other interests.

Altamira designs and develops digital imaging software.

* Deborah Irwin has joined Sound Dogs Inc., Universal City, as vice president of production. Irwin will oversee production, maintain accounts and develop new business.

Sound Dogs is a sound-editing facility founded by sound editors Greg King and Bob Grieve.

* Caitlin Hill has been promoted to the new position of licensing director at Megatrax Production Music, North Hollywood. Hill will continue to license Megatrax’s collection of musical tracks.

Megatrax supplies production music for use in film, television, new media, advertising and other industries.

* Larry Caird has been named marketing manager for the Valley Child Guidance Clinic, Palmdale. Caird has more than 28 years of experience in health-care management and public relations.

The Valley Child Guidance Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides mental health treatment to severely emotionally disturbed children in the Antelope Valley and surrounding communities.

* Karl Carrier has been appointed chief financial officer for the Southern California region of Providence Health System, Burbank. Carrier will be responsible for all financial and information systems operations in the San Fernando Valley and Little Company of Mary in Torrance service areas.

Providence is a nonprofit Catholic organization with hospitals in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

* Richard Prell has been promoted to partner in Ernst & Young’s Woodland Hills office. A member of the company’s entrepreneurial services practice, Prell will provide business, financial and accounting advice to emerging private and public companies.

* Hutchinson & Bloodgood LLP, Glendale, announced the promotion of two local managers to partner: Michael Benneian and Joseph Muriello. Benneian will lead the firm’s employee benefits group, and Muriello will head the business valuations group.

Hutchinson and Bloodgood is a certified public accounting and consulting firm.

* Salvadore S. Benti has been appointed chief executive of Malibu Networks, Calabasas. He will lead the management team in its effort to bring third-generation wireless broadband technology to market.

Malibu Networks develops architecture for fixed wireless broadband Internet provider access.

* Alexander Kevin Stewart has been named president of Airtron, a division of Litton Industries, Woodland Hills. He replaces David C. Miller, who has resigned to pursue personal interests.

Litton Airtron, Morris Plains, N.J., produces wafers for the telecommunications and computer industries and laser crystals for fiber-optic networks and medical and industrial applications.

* Dr. James Wang has been named chief medical officer, West Coast region, for Cigna Healthcare, Glendale. Wang will oversee the medical operations of Cigna health care plans in Alaska, Idaho, California, Oregon and Washington.

Cigna, based in Bloomfield, Conn., provides managed health care plans to subscribers nationwide.

* Mary Hasrouni has been promoted to vice president and general manager of EPI, a division of Natrol Inc., Chatsworth. Hasrouni is a biochemist.

Natrol makes and markets a variety of nutritional supplements.
