‘What Gives?’
“White House Favors U.S. Aid for Uninsured” (Sept. 5) stated that Bill Clinton wants to spend 23 billion taxpayer dollars to insure 6 million people. Simple long division shows us that he will be spending $3,800 per person per year. I am self-employed, and I insure my family of four for $3,200 per year. That is $800 per person per year. What gives?
