A ‘Highlander’ Lesson

Share

Perhaps if Kevin Thomas had some background knowledge of the previous “Highlander” movies and the television series, the script for “Highlander: Endgame” may not have been so incomprehensible to him (“In ‘Highlander,’ No End to Carnage,” Sept. 4). He might not have made glaring story-line errors, such as mistaking the character of Method (the 5,000-year-old Immortal) for Connor and thinking that Connor discovered his immortality in his first battle with Kell.

His confusion confirms what those who have enjoyed the franchise have known for a long time: “Highlander” requires active thinking on the part of the audience.
