MasterCard International Inc. lost a bid to stop Ralph Nader’s presidential campaign from airing an ad that the credit card giant says rips off its “Priceless Moments” TV commercials. U.S. District Judge George Daniels ruled that Purchase, N.Y.-based MasterCard failed to show how it would be damaged by additional broadcasts of the commercial. MasterCard, accused the consumer advocate and the Nader 2000 Primary Committee of trademark infringement and unfair competition. In a concession to MasterCard, Daniels ruled that the Nader campaign must give the company 24 hours’ notice before broadcasting the ad.
