Firm Names Development Chief
* Management Solutions Inc., a Los Angeles-based specialty staffing and executive placement firm, has promoted Randi Rawlins to the post of director of business development. She will be responsible for adding business in the finance, accounting and human resources areas.
* Real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle has promoted John Vinnicombe to executive vice president and appointed him head of its tenant representation group for Southern California. He will be based in Los Angeles. He succeeds Bruce Rutherford, who recently was named head of the company’s Asia/Pacific tenant representation practice in Singapore.
* Manhattan Beach-based Explere, an e-business consulting services firm, has named Jeff Reed chief program officer. Reed, a former project director at Syscom, will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships.
* Bank of America California has named Leticia Aguilar consumer executive for the greater Los Angeles division in charge of more than 250 banking centers in L.A., Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. The company also named Barbara Robinson consumer executive for the Southeastern division in charge of banking centers in Orange, Imperial, San Diego and Riverside counties, as well as parts of L.A. County.
* Charles Warner “Duke” Oakley, former campus architect for UCLA, has joined the architecture firm of Altoon & Porter as an associate partner. He will focus on expanding the Los Angeles firm’s institutional and university clientele.
* Marketing communications agency Phelps Group has named Beatrice Berger its new vice president. Berger will direct marketing and e-commerce-related projects for the Santa Monica-based agency.
* Torrance-based WebVision Inc., a provider of e-business solutions, has appointed Mike Heather chief financial officer. He is a former senior partner at Deloitte & Touche in Orange County.
