Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc.

The Garden Grove designer of memory products reported second-quarter net income of $407,000, or 2 cents a share, down 40% from the $680,000, or 3 cents a share, posted a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 31 declined 3% to $7.2 million.

The company had warned a month ago that a shortage of some computer chips would hurt business during the three months. The stock, which traded as high as $17.69 in July, closed Wednesday at $6.31, down 56 cents a share, in Nasdaq trading.
