The City Council will hold a workshop tonight before its regularly scheduled meeting to discuss the possibility of a charitable foundation to fund the design, construction and operation of the proposed intergenerational community center.
The foundation would take over the planning and fund-raising activities for the center, which are now being handled by city staff along with a committee of community volunteers.
The center, which would have activities for everyone from teens to senior citizens, is planned for a 1.8-acre parcel on the southeast corner of La Miranda and El Paseo, near the Town Center shopping complex.
The workshop will be held at 6 p.m. at the Trabuco Canyon Water District headquarters, 32003 Dove Canyon Drive.
