Newell Rubbermaid Inc., maker of Levolor blinds, Calphalon cookware and all manner of plastic and rubber products, said second-half profit will fall below expectations on lower sales, higher costs for raw materials and the weakening euro. Third-quarter profit from operations will be 47 cents to 49 cents a share, rather than the 53 cents analysts expected, it said. Fourth-quarter profit will be 55 cents to 58 cents a share, contrasted with the 62-cent average forecast by analysts, the company said.
