The Most Rev. Tod Brown, Bishop of Orange, along with the Serra Clubs of Orange County, will host the 2000 Western Regional Serra Convention at the Anaheim Sheraton Hotel from Oct. 13-15.
Serra Clubs are for the Catholic lay movement, which encourages vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
The annual convention is the showcase event for Serra’s Western Region, which consists of 45 clubs and 1,700 members in Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada.
Bishop Brown will celebrate the convention liturgy on Saturday evening. Also participating will be newly ordained Bishop Jaime Soto and retired Bishop Norman McFarland, both in the Orange diocese.
