Loudcloud Inc., an Internet consulting company headed by former Netscape Communications Corp. co-founder Marc Andreessen, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial stock sale worth $150 million. Loudcloud, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., provides Internet services for technology companies by building and managing software, databases and other equipment. Founded in September 1999, Loudcloud reported $1.94 million in revenue for the first six months of this year and a $116.97-million net loss that affected common stockholders, the filing said. Andreessen, who is Loudcloud’s chairman, was one of the co-founders, along with entrepreneur Jim Clark, of Netscape Communications in 1994. Netscape, one of the first Web browsers, was acquired by America Online Inc. last year. Andreessen, now 29, was chief technology officer for America Online for seven months until stepping down last September.
