Gil Jones said that not one person has complained about his newly installed children’s train on the Jones Family Mini Farm in the historical Los Rios commercial district.
The Cultural Heritage Commission in July denied Jones’ request for the train, saying it would not be compatible with the area’s atmosphere.
But the City Council in August overturned the commission’s decision, which Jones had appealed. Council members did not believe that the mini-farm, which has a petting zoo and pony rides, would turn into a massive amusement park, as the commission feared.
