Adobe to Hire 1,000

Adobe Systems Inc., the No. 1 maker of publishing and graphic design software, said it’s expanding its headquarters and regional facilities and will hire about 1,000 people next year to meet rising demand. The maker of Acrobat Reader, Photoshop and PageMaker software plans to hire about 250 people each quarter next year, the company said in a news release. Adobe said it will build a 275,000-square-foot tower next to its San Jose headquarters. The company also plans to expand facilities in Seattle, San Diego, Singapore and India. Adobe shares fell $2.94 to close at $148.38 on Nasdaq.
